Join us for an educational and fun puppy school.

Congratulations on your new puppy!  

We offer an education based puppy school that covers everything you need to set your puppy up for a great start.  We also offer a comprehensive in home puppy service to settle your puppy quickly into their new home.

Our puppy school is held in a large meeting room at The Otago Equestrian Centre. We limit numbers to ensure lots of 1 on 1 time and we provide a positive learning experience. This is an educational puppy school which covers all the basic behaviours your puppy needs.

We also emphasise safe play with careful pairing.

Puppy School

You will learn all the basic good manners and cues/commands needed. These include the following.

• Sit

• Stay

• Calm

• Focus

• Down

• Leave

• Drop

• Lead walking

• Recall (getting your puppy to come when called)

      ..........and much more

We run these regularly and require your puppy to have had at least 1 or 2 vaccinations (whichever you and your vet are happy with). Puppies must not be older than 15 weeks when they start.

We also teach using R+ (positive reinforcement). and our puppy classes have excellent reviews on both our Google site and our popular Facebook site.

Our puppy schools are held on the same day and time over a period of 3 weeks.  

The cost of our puppy school is $ 150 for all 3 classes.

Unlike other puppy schools we do not encourage the use of slip leads.  These can be extremely damaging to a growing puppies neck and the underlying glands, nerves and growing structure.  

New Puppy In Home Service

We also offer an in home new puppy service which helps new puppy guardians/owners with the first few days of having your puppy.  We visit you in your own home to help your puppy settle and relax into their new home.  This helps with all the issues you may be experiencing

• Toileting

• Calmness

• Sleeping (either with or without a crate).

• Nipping/mouthing

• Basic good puppy manners   

The price for the new puppy in home service is $ 90 per hour for central Dunedin and Mosgiel.
